Leather bags are susceptible to absorbing grease and oils. Wipe the leather bag with a soft clean dry cloth. Store the leather purse in a dust bag or wrapped in natural-fabric. You can wrap the metallic parts - a chain handle for example  - in a clean dry tissue paper. If you have just cleaned your bag, allow it to air dry completely before storage. If you are storing long-term, ease open the buckles and straps so impressions are released. This help to avoid rubbing or permanent creases in unwanted areas. Clean suede parts with suede brush to remove dust. Keep suede dry. Water will discolor it. Rub a clean eraser over stained areas.
